A three days & nights escape from Marrakech to tear some friends off their city life to make them, for some time, our invitees, and run from the polluted thick air and the sterile fuss of the city. After a first night on the banks of the Wadi Malah, a tributary of the Wadi Imi-n-Zat (between the Adrar Bou Saba and the Ghriss-n-Wa’mou), and a rainy breakfast on the red, wet and rocky earth, we started a winding uphill to the Tizi-n-Tishka (2200m) in a thick foggy mist covering the grey sky, the vertigo and the void surrounding us. We started our descent on the south face towards Agouim then west to Ifni Lake. We stopped to eat in a riverbed near Tamaraght. We felt like this whole mountain landscape had been drawn by a expert hand, a peculiar place where elements fight, the hot burning sun, the dried out earth and a high altitude chilling wind. We entered the Ouaouzguite land and headed South-West along the Assif Tifnout to reach the Mokhtar Souss Dam near Idargane. The high surveillance of the lake forbid us to touch its pristine waters with the tips of our toes, just for one night. We resigned ourselves to go pass Agawz and camp finally near the Ighatdayn and the froggy pond with no regret.
